How do I know if I am eligible to enter?

The awards are open to all Small Business owners and managers and applicants are invited to submit their entries in the relevant Categories, based on the Awards Criteria.

You can be home based or an owner/operator as long as the following eligibility is met

• Award Categories 1 – 41 MUST have a Registered Business Number
• Eligibility is based on the number of staff – maximum 10

After all entries have been judged, all finalists will be notified of their success by mail.

Finalists will compete with businesses in their Category and the Winners and Runner Ups will be announced at the Australian INNOV8 AWARDS Gala Presentation dinner evening.

How do I enter the Awards?

Award entries must be completed online and submitted with the receipt number of purchase.

Is there a limit to answering the Awards Criteria?

No. The aim is to provide judges with the best information possible to showcase your business by answering the questions that demonstrate your passion, achievements and successes.

Responses should be clear, precise and may be submitted via video.

Always conduct a Spell Check before submitting your responses.

What are the Launch and Closing date for entries?

Awards Launch 30th March 2021.
Awards Close on 31st July 2021.
Entries must be submitted no later than 12am midnight on 31st July 2021.

What happens after I submit my Awards Criteria Application?

Judges will shortlist all entrants in their Categories into Finalists.
After all entries have been considered and checked for eligibility, Finalists are invited to the Australian Innov8 Awards Gala Presentation dinner evening.

Will all entries become Finalists?

No. Judges will decide on the content of each entry and will eliminate entries based on areas such as an incomplete Entry Form, failure to provide Evidence of Required Documents as clearly outlined in each Category or inability to meet the Awards Criteria.

How do I know if I have been selected as a Finalist?

All Finalists will receive notification in a Finalists Kit. The Kits will be distributed by email.
A Video file MP 4 Maximum 3 – 5 minutes long may be submitted in this final selection.

What do I receive if I am a Winner or Runner Up?

You will receive a Winner’s or a Runner Up Trophy, a 2021 Innov8 Awards Certificate and sponsorship package for your achievement. In addition, you will be showcased and highlighted through targeted press releases to the media.

Who judges the entries?

Representatives from a diverse area of industries and associations, who have experience or an understanding of small business, are involved in the judging of entries.

What are the businesses judged on?

Judging is based on the Awards Criteria answers and required supporting documentation.

Can I enter more than one Category?

Yes. Applicants may purchase multiple Categories.

How do I purchase tickets to the Innov8 Awards Gala Presentation?

Finalists will receive a link to purchase tickets for the Gala Presentation in the Finalists Kit.
